SUMMER FOOD PROGRAMS 2019
This website lists where the City will be providing breakfast and/or lunch 2-5 days each week.
The link below will take you to a list of COOLING SHELTERS that will operate this summer (2019) statewide. These are open mostly during daytime hours.
SALVATION ARMY COOLING SHELTER
10740 Page Ave., St. Louis, MO, 63132.
It will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week from Monday, July 1 through Friday, Sept. 6. The shelter can accommodate up to 48 individuals on any given day.
For more information, those in need may contact the Salvation Army at 314-423-7770 or the Regional Help Line at 314-802-5444.
This year, the only recreation center open as a cooling shelter is the
Affton White-Rodgers Community Center, 9801 Mackenzie Road.
It will be open during normal business hours until Sept. 6.
People in need of finding cooling shelters can view a map of all available cooling shelters in their area by visiting the county map here.
All St. Louis County Library branches also serve as cooling shelters.
ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY MEALS PROGRAM
St. Louis Public Library and Operation Food Search are partnering together this summer to provide free meals to area children. Together, SLPL and OFS will provide meals to children 18 years old and under at three different SLPL locations, Monday through Friday, from June 3 through August 9.
The free summer meal schedule is:

GOODWILL EXCEL CENTERS NOW OFFERING GED AND HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS
The Goodwill Excel Centers are free high schools for adults over the age of 21. Classes run year round during extended day and evening hours. With flexible hours and a free on-site daycare, it will be easy for you to balance work, family and school.
